Matias Malagardis

Matias came out with his new single Awake on the 21st, which talks about waking up to a newly discovered aspect of love. Awake is also his first ever music video he has released since 2018, and he is really proud of it.
Combining the acoustics of Ben Howard with elements of Arlo Parks and Ry X, Awake is really one of a kind when it comes to its complexity. I love his style, and the symbolism in this music video makes you understand the feelings in the song. It is a pretty sold song and music video all together.

Singer and multi-instrumentalist Mark Houston (Spokane, WA) came out with Deserve You on the 23rd. This single is a lush/folk/pop song made up of male and female vocals, fingerstyle acoustic guitar, and violin and electric guitars.
Deserve You touches on the concept fo self-destruction in a fictional tale about someone who feels that they are unworthy of love. The song is very relatable to many, and is something that I could write an article about… Maybe?
Ollie Hussey

Ollie Hussey came out with Credence on the 20th, which is a love song written about Ollie’s experience with depression during the first lockdown.
For a song that is recorded AND produced entirely on his iPhone (top that Sarabean), this is a solid song as well. I also want to commend Ollie for making such a vulnerable song, it’s something I have been struggling with too and I can’t imagine what I’d be like if I wrote and produced a song about it.
Mayfair Lady

Italian-American Mayfair Lady came out with Reality Check on April 23rd. The song is about a dark time when she struggled with an eating disorder, partying too much, and filling a lonely void by doing the wrong things with wrong people.
“Deep down I knew this lifestyle only fed more into my sorrow, but I kept on going. I felt like I was living in a sad movie and I needed to come back to reality. I needed a reality check,” says Mayfair. This dark pop song and breath taking music video is like something out of a short film that was meant to inspire you to be present and make sure you are okay with who you are. I really can’t say much else because this is such a masterpiece and powerful, the music video will make you feel something and all you can say is “wow” after it.
Glow Beets

Glow Beets came out with Head Rush on the 23rd, which is an electronic pop song that is part of an EP focusing on mental health.
The song really intrigues me on what the whole EP will be like, when I listen to this song I get a head rush personally. I really think this song could be good in a set for Nikademis.
Carta Inc

Carta Inc and Isabella Tarran will be coming out with their collaborative song Without Your Love on May 6th, an unapologetic pop song that walks the line of chillout vibes and festival sing-a-long with boasting vocals from Isabella.
This reminds me of a mix of Laszewo and Bhavior, I love how the lyrics that flow along with the song. This song should do well among fans of the Chainsmokers and Diplo.
