I always have the weirdest dreams on the night of Halloween…
One year, I had a truly disturbing dream that haunted me even when I woke-up.
I was sitting in a white room, and I was strapped down as if I was in a horror movie. Suddenly, a single cockroach appeared.. and then an entire swarm of roaches engulfed me and filled the entire room…
I’m literally getting chills writing this! It was terrifying!
Tiptoe reminds me of this and all of the other strange — even nightmarish dreams — that I have had.

Who is Maya Yenn?
27 year-old Maya Yenn is a singer-songwriter hailing from the United Kingdom. She handcrafts all of her productions, which are heavily influenced by moody alternative-pop and even contemporary R&B.
Her debut release entitled “Tiptoe” began as a Halloween 2020 TikTok video which amassed over 500k views. It garnered overwhelming support and demand, leading the singer to turn it into a full-fledged single.

As if Billie Eilish wasn’t good enough for this generation of listeners, now we have Maya.
This dark and mystifying song will certainly lay the foundation for a successful career that can easily be built upon. Maya herself is clearly full of talent, as she was able to self-produce such a sophisticated track.
I love this song, and I can easily see it being featured in something like American Horror Story or providing a spine-tingling score to a modern horror film.
The only challenge I see for Maya is… how do you top this?
