The ukulele riffs in this song make my heart sing and I think it compliments the bittersweet lyrics and feel of the song. One mystery to me though is the album cover. It makes me wonder how it relates to the song or the artist. One day I hope to find out its true meaning!

Hailing from Cork, Ireland, singer-songwriter and producer Fintan McKahey makes lo-fi acoustic songs that are both emotive and nostalgic. He layers mellow beats twith ambient sounds glazed with smoky vocals. His latest release, Lost Balloons, was released today. The song reflects on how the pressures of modern life can get overwhelming, and that things aren’t always in your control.
I can fully relate to the reflection of understanding that somethings are out of your control. The intense nostalgia in Fintan’s song is out of my control… But I don’t mind it at all. I love this song and think it’s a perfect fit for any night time music playlist.
Valeria Mood
Valeria Mood from Czech Republic has recently released her third and final single of off upcoming debut album called SelfSabotage. The single, Lost in the Dead End, is a story of a psychological game between a man and a woman.
When I first heard this song I immediately sent it to the biggest music critic I know – my Dad. Within, 10 minutes, he came back and told me that he was blown away by her talent. I think this pays testament to how relatable this song is across generations.
Finn Forster
Indie folk pop singer songwriter Finn Forster has recently come out with his new song Remnants this June. This symphonic anthem recounts the journey of emotions that people feel when they reminisce about all that they have lost.
This is a heavy song, but also a therapeutic song. I love the acoustics and quality of production. The song is great for fans of Mumford & Sons, Lord Huron, and Local Natives. Make sure to add Remnants to your playlists!
Red Maker
Red Maker has come out with their debut single Better in Time in June. This song is about one’s promise to another to enjoy the present, even though it might be tough, because the future will be brighter.
I feel like this is a relatable theme for a lot of young couples, presented in an energetic, punk style. Lead off by Morgan Harris’ vocals, it is an easy fit amongst other songs in the genre.
