According to The College Voice, “ghosting (is) the act of slowly cutting someone out of your life romantically by ending all contact and ignoring your former partner’s attempts to communicate”.
Origins of ghosting began in 2011 when most dating apps became popular, and became widely known in 2015 after Charlize Theron broke up with Sean Penn by ghosting him.
In 2016, Plenty of Fish claimed that nearly 78% of single millennials had been ghosted at least once.
So why do people ghost? Is it a fear of seeing the other one cry? A fear of feeling ashamed?
Or is it just plain cowardice?
To me Halloween is a celebration of what we fear the most.
So this Halloween, I want those who have ghosted to ask themselves … why? For those who have been ghosted, I want you to ask yourself why that might have happened. The answer might be either extremely terrifying or extremely puzzling. But maybe, it might create a bit of change in your life.

Ghosted by Christy P Klotz Review
There’s a relatable element that this song obviously has, and that’s why I think this song will touch so many. There’s always that “I will be fine and this will never happen” feeling you get in the beginning of a new relationship.
No body wants to get ghosted. That’s just a universal fact, and it’s normal these days sadly.
Christy really hammers this down in this song, and I think her vocals hauntingly say the words that everyone’s head says when they’ve been ghosted.
This song is great for fans of Phoebe Bridgers, Sasha Sloan, and other female pop musicians.
