Jozua

DJ, artist, and deep house producer JOZUA from Leicestershire (UK) came out with Diamonds Eyes (Magic Records) on December 10th, 2021. The song was originally very close to not being unaccepted to a label Fortunately, it was released a week before the scheduled time slot.
I have a great appreciation for deep house mixed with EDM – The two have such a unique sound to it. This song definitely matches this eclectic list. There’s very little criticism one can give to a song that was released on my favorite label. Magic is exactly what it says it is…Pure magic.

Artist, producer, and LA native Nick Kandler came out with his newest release Stay on February 25th. The song represents the cycle of a toxic relationship and exemplifies how a bad situation can still keep us wanting more.
I really like this song, it’s relatable and catchy. I feel a large majority of people in the world have experienced being in this kind of relationship. I look forward to more songs by Nick.
Perry Ripley

Brighton (UK) native singer-songwriter Perry Ripley released his newest single Cocaine Love, on January 28th, 2022. Through this raw and emotional single, Perry states wanting to shed light on the struggles of addiction and how similar it can be to love.
Another very relatable song and just like love addiction, can eat you up and not let go. As a mental health worker, I see it everyday. I love and am impressed with the sound. It sounds like something I would enjoy to listen to every day.

South Australian folk pop singer Justina Ward came out with her newest single Under My Skin, on January 21st. The song features Jeff Cooper on bass guitar and piano, Bex Rennie on cello, and Dani Richardson on violin.
It’s so refreshing to hear a folk song that hit just as hard as an electronic song, especially considering that I’ve exclusively been listening to electronic music lately. Production is impressive and so is Justina’s powerful vocals.
