Editorial

Rather you’ve been catfished by a girl or a guy; you will want to know that you’re not alone. It is everywhere online. In fact, according to Psychology Today, about 53% of Americans lie on their dating profiles.

Anyone could be a catfish, a girl, a guy, a sociopath, or even me!

But at the end of the day, the one thing we can do is blast Jennifer Alvarado’s song every time we are sad about being played. At the end of the day, what can we do about it? We can’t promise ourselves it will never happen again because it probably will.

Who is Jennifer Alvarado?

Nashville-based Jennifer Alvarado is a pop singer-songwriter that mixes Christian and country music with blues. She has been recognized locally and nationally and is currently nominated for five International Singer Songwriter Association Awards.

Catfish is the first single off the Songbird: Part Two EP, released in early 2023. The well-written song targets all players who think it’s cool to screw with feelings of their 30 seconds of disappointing fame in the bedroom.

Catfish by Jennifer Alvarado Review

I don’t review quite enough Country Pop music on this website, and Catfish makes me want to do more of these. The song is sassy and quirky but to a point where it’s not overdone. I appreciate the pauses, but personally, it’s done a little too much. Overall, I think this is a great song, and I would love to hear more.

If you are a fan of any female Country artists, then definitely check this song out! If you like what you hear, please also feel free to leave a like and follow below!
