Cooper Phillip [unedited] Music Review

Cooper Phillip

According to Coalition for the Homeless, in April of this year there were a total of over 60 thousand people who were homeless in New York City. Just over 19 thousand were single adults. But that only counts for the people who live in homeless shelters.

There is very minimal to no information on the percentage of people who were homeless and then proceeded to live a more productive life. But if you ask me what that percentage would look like, I would tell you probably pretty small.

Fortunately, Cooper Phillip is one of those extremely lucky people to rise from the burden of homelessness in a city where the homeless population is the worst in the country.

She came into the situation with endless possibilities. She knew she could accomplish whatever she set out to do, because her mother who was a successful musician saw a lot of talent in her daughter.

“I believe we underestimate ourselves often and our fear takes over. My goal is to show people that they are stronger and can do much more than they think they can”, Cooper says.

Phillip’s story is nothing short from inspirational. And the fact that she is using her story to inspire her listeners makes her one of the up-coming role model figures of today.

Cooper was born in a small town in Russia, raised mainly by her grandmother and Aunt. Her mother was rarely ever around as she was touring the world as a master violin player. With the absence of her mother, Phillip found comfort in music and more specifically Ella Fitzgerald’s music. She taught herself every Fitzgerald song in detail.

As a kid Cooper grew up in an opera house, watching a lot of classic ballets, operas, and classical music. “Growing up in musical theater inspired me to continue learning music,” she says. Not too long after, she enrolled in the well-known Moscow State Classical Academy, where she worked tirelessly on her voice and other musical skills.

When her mother realized her daughter’s pure talent she quit her own career that was flourishing and took her daughter on tour with her across Russia.

At age 17, Cooper moved to New York City with very little money. However, she was determined to pursue a successful career in international music just like her mother. She hustled and worked, performed at weddings and clubs, and slept in the storerooms of restaurants she sang in. She was relentless and set on her goal.

When offered to perform at an important performance in Los Angeles, she didn’t hesitate to take it and never looked back.

With music underlying themes of strength, grace, and empowerment, Cooper has already attracted 10 million followers online with her previous singles. “They love music that makes them feel a certain way,” she says.

“(Living on my own in New York) was a rough experience, but it was so vivid and full of life, so I think it’s one of the best periods of my life. I think it inspired me so much because I saw how many opportunities I can explore. Also, I found a true character in myself because I didn’t have to prove anything to anyone I just found my true self.”

~Cooper Phillip (6/23/2020)

Cooper’s music is a mix of catchy and inspirational pop, there’s a lot to like about her. Thank You Heartbreak really stuck out to me when I was listening to her music, the two parts of what her music usually is were present in this song. The song’s verses were about her story, her chorus was catchy, and the song ends in an empowering way.

Phillip doesn’t really hold anything back in her songs, and seems to be the kind of writer that gets genuinely bothered by holding back something. Her most recent single, Not Perfect, is another example of expressing her true emotions. The song talks about the importance of self-love and confidence.

She hopes this single and her story help people find their own confidence.

“As soon as the lockdown is over I’m going on a world tour.”

~Cooper P.

Cooper tells me that she wants her musical direction to stay honest. “I want my music to speak the truth about me and how I feel about the world,” she says.

She didn’t speak of any more music to be release at any point soon, so I am not expecting much on that end. But nevertheless as always keep your eyes glued to our socials, which you can follow below.

I would like to thank Alex High for connecting me with Cooper Phillip for this week’s article, I am very honored to review such a confident woman and musician.

Tia Gostelow [unedited] Music Review

Mr. Hutchinson, 36, had not been seen since the early morning hours on Wednesday (May 9th, 2018), when he left a hotel in South Queensferry after sending two cryptic messages on Twitter. He wrote: ‘Be so good to everyone you love. It’s not a given. I’m so annoyed that it’s not. I didn’t live by that standard and it kills me. Please, hug your loved ones,’ and ‘I’m away now. Thanks.'”…

“‘Depression is a horrendous illness that does not give you any alert or indication as to when it will take hold of you’ the (Hutchinson) family said. ‘Scott battled bravely with his own issues for many years, and we are immensely proud of him for being so open with his struggles.'”…

“Scott Hutchinson, the lead singer and songwriter of the Scottish folk-rock band Frightened Rabbit, was found dead on Thursday (May 10th, 2018) near South Queensferry, Scotland, the Edinburgh police confirmed, after a days-long search for the musician, who was said to be in a ‘fragile state’… The police could not immediately identify the cause of death, but said it was not being treated as suspicious”. ~New York Times (May 11, 2018)

I remember reading this article not too long after it was published, and I am almost in tears just revisiting that day. I knew Scott Hutchinson battled a lot of demons, but I don’t think any Frightened Rabbit fan or anyone close to him were or would ever be ready for that day he was found dead.

Scott stood for so much, and he meant just as much to every one of his fans, band members, and family. He will and should never be forgotten.

“I have to say I didn’t really know who Frightened Rabbit were when the offer came through, but I definitely learnt very quickly that they were very important for the music scene worldwide. They were such lovely people and it was really nice to tour with them and be able to appreciate watching them live,” says Tia Gostelow.

On March 9th, 2017, Tia opened for Scott and his band Frightened Rabbit at The Triffid in Brisbane, Australia. 1 year and 1 day before he was found dead due to suicide in Scotland.

At around 7 or 8 years old, Tia was inspired at a young age by Taylor Swift. She taught herself how to play the guitar, since T-Swift played that instrument. “I remember just being so in awe of everything about her, how she looked, the music she made and how confident she is. After that I remember forcing my parents to sit down and listen to me play Love Story over and over again,” she says.

Taylor Swift’s fans have always been loyal and supportive, and fast forward to 2020 and Tia Gostelow has an equally caring and faithful fan base. “I feel like they’ve been with me for such a long time and are watching me grow as an artist and also as a person. I love messaging back and forth with them, it feels really important to have those connections,” she says.

“(Psycho) forced me to really think about the situations and relationships I’ve been in where I have experienced gaslighting and how it made me go f—ing crazy. I constantly thought I was the issue, that everything was my fault and I kept apologizing for things that I later realized weren’t my fault at all.”

~Tia Gostelow (6/17/2020)

I need to clarify one thing before I go forward, as emotional as that intro was on my end… It wasn’t necessarily meant to focus on Scott’s death. Instead, the last paragraph is why I wrote that whole introduction. It was a way to start connecting the dots between these two musicians I personally think mean a lot to the music industry.

I’ve always loved listening to the top modern musicians from Australia, such as Malrat, G Flip, 5 Seconds of Summer, Amy Shark, etc. One thing I find quite similar with most of these artists are their sound and songwriting, almost a chill pop sound with catchy but also mature and creative lyrics. Tia definitely carries this unofficial tradition amongst Australian musicians, especially with songs like Hey Friends (2018), Phone Me (2018), and That’s What You Get (2018).

At the start of 2019, Tia started writing Psycho with her friend Aidan Hogg. “Going into the session I felt like I really wanted to write a song about something that was really prominent in the media at the time and was also something personal to me,” she says.

According to the Oxford Dictionary, gaslighting is “manipulating (someone) by psychological means into questioning their own sanity”. There’s a high chance that you probably will be gaslighted in your life, especially if you’re in a toxic relationship. Please do your research if you’re in a position that could make you feel gaslighted, some great articles to read are from Vox, Pyschology Today, and ABC.

“I felt like I was turning into this psycho person and it seemed like nobody else saw where I was coming from. However, seeing all of these other people speaking up about it, made me deal with my emotions that I had just ignored and I finally felt like I could put all of my anger and frustration and hurt into something that means something,” explains Tia. She hopes Psycho helps people the same way hearing others stories of gaslighting did for herself.

Far before the release of her debut album Thick Skin she has attracted a massive audience from all around the world and even established her own record label (Lovely Records). 4 of her 5 top songs on Spotify hitting 2-10 million streams, and her newest release Psycho is certainly on its way to that milestone as well with close to 200 thousand streams to date. The Queensland Music Awards winner of Album of the Year for Thick Skin has certainly made her name heard, loud and clear.

I really wanted this next record to be inspired by 80’s electronic music but still keeping my style in there. It’s definitely a lot more danceable than my previous music and I’m really excited about that.

~Tia Gostelow

Fans should expect Tia’s next album, that’s coming out later this year, to be heading into a more indie-pop-electronic direction. It sounds like we should expect songs that Oh Wonder, Sylvan Esso, and Marian Hill would make. But I am not too sure, and I could be very wrong.

If you enjoy listening to Tia Gostelow, I encourage you to keep your eyes peeled to our social media for updates. I will keep in touch with Tia and her PR agents, and as soon as I get word of new music I will update everyone as soon as possible.

I want to thank Kershona Mayo of Mora May PR for connecting me with Tia Gostelow (Lovely Records)! She is such an amazing musician who I look forward to setting something up with when she comes touring through Boston.

Fjøra [unedited] Music Review

Alexandra Petrkovski (Fjora)

“Remember the first time you went to a show and saw your favorite band. You wore their shirt, and sang every word. You didn’t know anything about scene politics, haircuts, or what was cool. All you knew was that this music made you feel different from anyone you shared a locker with. Someone finally understood you. This is what music is about,” Gerard Way.

“To be honest, I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t creating and existing in the music space,” says Alexandra. “I come from a very musical family; both of my parents completed their piano levels and my father was a musician (I grew up with a home studio).”

Fjora’s music is primarily inspired by dramatic and emotive musical aspects. She admires cinematic music and film, from which she has a deep musical background.

Her fan base is made up of a wide variety of different listeners, which she loves. Her music is used on multiple TV and film platforms, along with playlists on Spotify and Apple music. She’s very thankful to be connecting with many listeners of all ages and from the across the world. “My music is all-inclusive, my motto is: the more the merrier,” she says.

“I have an extreme love of cinematic music and film scoring (my background is actually in these musical styles) and so no matter what kind of direction a song takes with me, it always begins from a need to move people and to tell a story.”

-Alexandra Petrkovski (4/13/2020)

To begin my critique I’ll first say this… Why is her music not featured on Game of Thrones???!!!

It’s almost impossible to explain how amazing and different her music is. She really uses her powerful voice to her advantage. Her cinematic and dark pop style is something that seperates her from the regular pop musician.

Focusing on storytelling is not too common nowadays I feel, this generation of musicians really love sharing their own story versus telling a story that’s made up. However, the one’s who choose to go against the grain usually create the most unique and creative sounds in their music. This is the exact case for Fjora.

One of Alexandra’s more popular songs is Hurricane, which is a duet she did with Zayde Wolf. The song is about the whirlwind of emotion and potential conflict between two people. “This song is special to me as it ´flips the image´ – instead of the storm being the external, it is the very result of the intrinsic and internal relation,” she says.

Hurricane is one of my favorite songs by her, other amazing collaborative songs that she’s released has been with producers and musicians like Duke & Jones, Mario Ayuda, and Unedited Band of the Day’s Bhavior… “Not many moments where we aren’t laughing and goofing around, which is part of some of my own personal favourite moments of the creative process generally. I think it’s important to work with creatives who let you be yourself; from the serious sides to the silly sides,” says Alexandra.

Her song with Duke & Jones called Delusions can also be found on one of my favorite Spotify playlists called Creamy, which features artists like Louis the Child, Illenium, and San Holo. Another amazing Spotify playlist called Bass Arcade features her song Shivers featuring Jaenga, this playlist features Rezz, Cheat Codes, Loyal by ODESZA, and Pills by Svniivan!

“There is a new video game that I had the pleasure of being involved with, as well as am currently working on a vocal sample pack for Splice, which is very exciting! So, all amazing things on the rise!”

-Alexandra

With someone who’s been collaborating with a very long list of musicians on top of her own projects, it doesn’t shock me to hear that she is very very busy with more projects. “I am working on several awesome collaborations in the EDM/pop world that I’m pretty pumped on, as well as some killer cinematronic ´film trailer sounding´ songs. I also just finished some emotionally-charged songs that explore my softer side,” says Alexandra.

She also hopes to continue creating music for film and TV shows. It’s her goal to day to create music for a featured film.

“I’ve got upcoming releases very soon actually! Later this month I’ve got several releases, and then throughout May, June, and July be ready for some summer bangers,” says Fjora.

It’s always really cool to connect with musicians who have worked with people I’ve featured on UMB too. That’s exactly how I connected with Alexandra, she actually was the vocalist for Bhavior who was one of the first Unedited Band of the Day on Instagram. I highly suggest you go listen to their song called Loser now on all streaming platforms!

You can follow Unedited Music Blog on Facebook (@uneditedmb) and Instagram (@unedited_music_blog), and listen to other musicians who’ve been covered on Spotify!

Cafe Disko [unedited] Music Review

Cafe Disko
Photo posted on Instagram

“(The next generation) might rely heavily on electronics, tapes. I can kind of envision one person with a lot of machines, tapes and electronics set up singing or speaking and using machines.” This quote from the famous Jim Morrison, who’s quote found it’s way on a Skrillex 2011 track, can be directed towards any of today’s DJs, producers, and musicians that are categorized under any electronic genre. Cafe Disko is one of these artistic duos, and while there’s no doubt Paul and Patrick are talented and know what they’re doing… But I’m going to focus on their undeniably infectious vibe that they bring to every track… A vibe that even Jim would appreciate.

Paul and Patrick have always had a strong passion for music, and they said it was “only a matter of time before we started making it!” Cafe Disko pulls their inspirations from many different angles, such as the artists they work with and their fans who listen to mostly pop and hip hop music.

Up to right now, Cafe Disko has already opened for the likes of Matoma, Robert DeLong, and Autograf.

According to Bandsintown and Facebook

As I said in my introduction, I wanted to focus on Cafe Disko’s vibe because they’re undeniably talented. They’ve played and worked with equally as talented musicians, and continue to master their sound and improve with each release. But what I find fascinating about their music is how easily they work with hip hop, pop, and rock elements. For instance, just listen to their fantastic remix of Heart Shaped Box (originally by Nirvana). In this remix they took the familiar guitar riff and replaced it with a similar electronic version. Then they put an absolutely crazy drop that pleases the ears. In other songs they take rappers like Austin Filmore and Divmond and combine them with crazy drops and a popish beat. They have done a very good job with basically all their tracks, and I can’t wait to hear how they will continue to grow in the future. I also want them to collaborate with other type of hip hop and pop musicians, artists similar to Blackbear, Khalid, and such.

Confirmed: Chance the Rapper approves of Cafe Disko. If that isn’t a reason you should, then something is terribly wrong with you!

Proof: Instagram

As of right now, the guys are finishing up a few songs that they’re really excited about, two of them already came out and both were remixes of All These Pretty Girls (Milk N Cookies and Flynninho). They have confirmed with me that these two remixes are the only ones that they will be releasing, and the rest of the tracks will be their original songs… Those will come out in the next few months. Their past tracks have touched on “hip hop/pop/future bass” and they tell they like the sound they’re coming up with. “We are always looking for new ways to push our sound to the next level so we will continue to try new things and see where it takes us,” they tell me.

I would like to thank Cafe Disko for keeping in touch with me during this process, even though we lost touch for a months between 2018 and 2019. I was really really excited to get to this article, and I’m really excited to hear what other people think of this review. You can follow Cafe Disko on Facebook and Instagram. The Vast Oddity [unedited] Music Review

Photo taken by Bev MortimerPhoto taken by Bev Mortimer

“Since ancient times, humans have assigned healing and transformational properties to water. In early Rome, baths were an important part of cultural life, a place where citizens went to find relaxation and to connect with others in a calming setting. In ayurveda, the ancient Indian medicinal wisdom, and traditional Chinese medicine, the water element is crucial to balancing the body and creating physical harmony. Rivers have long been seen as sacred places, and in a number of different spiritual contexts, water has symbolized rebirth, spiritual cleansing and salvation” (Huffington Post).

Chad Thomas Laybacks and Cayla J. Louw make up the duo that is The Vast Oddity. The couple live together in South Africa where they both pull influences from their natural world around them to make unique music since May of 2019. Chad says that “a lot of ideas and notions rattling around the old noodle” inspires him to make music. Cayla says that she’s always been inspired to make music. “I guess music is a natural expression from and for the soul, it comes as naturally as breathing (for me)” says Cayla. Ranging from various observations about the surrounding environment and beyond to “theories, nature, extraterrestrial concepts, higher vibrations, epiphanies, the supernatural, anti-systemism (no idea what that is but okay)” influences their music. Finally, they tell me that “our fanbase is mostly open-minded, free-spirited, and usually likes to dabble in psychedelics or such”.

“Well I’m not affected by,These winds of change. And I’m always riding high,When the waves cascade. I’m doing swell!”

Swell by Vast Oddity

The first thing that caught my attention about Vast Oddity’s unique sound is how the music almost sounds like it’s made underwater. However, it definitely looks like neither Chad or Cayla had produced their music underwater. You can probably find a way to make the same sounds with your guitar with this Google search! The sound is unlike any other one, at least for me I have never really heard a sound like Vast Oddity’s. Swell is a really cool song and is the first song I heard (because it’s also the most listened to song on Spotify). Chad did a good job with the vocals, and I didn’t even notice that Cayla made the “chhhhhh” sounds (I initially thought that was a sound effect made by GarageBand or something). I don’t only feel passion about their music when I read the interview answers for the first time, I also felt a sense of playfulness too. I guess that’s why I feel Swell explains what their band is probably all about. And that’s really what that song is about, a sense of “doing great no matter what external influences there are,” Chad tells me. But there’s more to having fun with their music, like I said before they really want to reflect on the world around them. Sometimes the best way to get to know a musician is to intimately listen to what they are saying or at least try to say in their songs, and that rings very true to these guys. I find their two songs Beautifully High and Swell to be my favorites, so you guys definitely should listen to them and even try to see life in their viewpoints.

“Our music reflects the essence of the absence of culture in the general sense. It goes against traditionalism in some ways. I guess it reflects the modern culture in a sense.”

-Cayla J. Louw (11/26/2019)

Prior to the new year, Chad and Cayla released their last 2019 production called Paper Mache Moon. However, I don’t believe it is available in my area so I wasn’t able to listen to it, but everyone who can should tell me what they think in the comments or even on social media! Meanwhile they’re focusing on growing their audience, touring, and making more music. There’s definitely going to be more updates for these guys in the future so I will keep everyone updated.

I would like to sincerely thank Chad T. Layback and Cayla J. Lousy for answering my interview questions and staying in touch. If you want to check out a really cool clothing brand that Cayla co-owns in South Africa go check out their brand Shaka Rags on Facebook! White Night [unedited] Music Review

I usually don’t use a conversation as a tool to create content for an article, but I felt the desire to experimenting. Similarly to White Nightś desire to experiment with a violin and electronic beats. All great inventions or productions come from experiments, but most of them don’t even get past that stage. But for White Night this experiment seems to have a sense of hope in it, a much needed hope after moving from San Francisco to Berlin.

Beginning as a long distance duet from San Francisco and Berlin, White Night started in 2017. The long distance lasted until this April and they now live together in Berlin, they have since been performing locally in Berlin  and on the USA west coast and released Golden Heart and the single called You. They have a small following because they have just started the band.

¨We were both classically trained musicians studying in san francisco and we talked about our favourite music in the conservatory hallway. Lizzie than send me some of her recordings and since I was producing electronic music on the side, I really loved what she send me. So we thought: Why not start a duo. It started later than when I was back in Berlin though as a long distance project.¨

-Willi Leinen (3/10/2019)

Willi and Boardman are into a duet that are a lot like them called Sylvan Esso. Willi says that his favorite album is their newest (What Now). Interestingly the two duets are not too different as they have experimented with different sounds. While I wouldn’t hesitate to say Esso are better than White Night, that is because I have a high appreciation for Sylvan Esso´s music. Other bands that they are influenced by include Fink, and Kate Bush. As for producing Willi tells me ¨we usually write the synths and the vocal melodies first. Then, add classical elements like the strings. Lastly, we try to blend them as good as possible¨ he says. In conclusion, White Night seem to have a lot of talent. I like their songs Don’t Care, Summer Love, Reincarnation, and Melodie. I am certainly looking forward to hearing more!

I really love the mix of a violin and electronic beats, itś especially broadcast in songs like Don´t Care. The unique flow of vocal melodies and classical instruments are what make White Night so different from other duets.

Willi says that after releasing a lot of their music they are now focusing on performing. ¨We want to perform more around Europe and North America. We just performed in Seattle, Oakland, and San Francisco so far never on the East Coast. We might in the summer, although” he says. I will keep everyone updated on social media when they are possibly coming to Boston, but until then keep an eye on their Facebook page if you want to see them outside of Boston!

I want to thank both Willi Leinen and Elizabeth Boardman for their request to review their music, and for being so nice to me during the process of preparing the article. Please go like their Facebook page and listen to their music on Spotify. Stay tuned to my Facebook, Instagram (@unedited_music_blog), and brand new Tiktok pages to stay updated, and jam out to our Spotify playlist! Have a nice day and enjoy the weather if you can!

Nicole & Scotty [unedited] Music Review

Nicole & Scotty debut their music through YouTube in 2013, that same year they were a supporting act for Lisa Marie Presley (Elvis’s daughter). “It was such an honor to support (her) on tour. We’ve both been fans of Lisa’s since I was maybe 6 years old, and she was a huge reason behind me getting inspired to write my own songs. Lisa is such a genuine and kind person. The whole experience was so surreal” Nicole said.

Brother and sister duo Nicole and Scotty started their musical career at young ages. Scotty started to learn and play the guitar at 10, and Nicole started to write and sing at 5. “When Scotty started composing original instrumentals, we kind of just had a light bulb moment like ‘Oh! We should combine our love of music and writing to create our own songs!’ So we wrote the first song we ever wrote together when we were 11 and 15″ Nicole tells me.

“(Our fan base) started calling themselves ‘fellow travelers’ thanks to a lyric from our first EP, and we honestly love them like family. Social media is amazing. It makes it so easy for our supporters to keep up with us, and we love to keep up with them as well.”

-Nicole & Scotty (4.15.2019)

I really enjoy N&S’s sound, and my favorite song has to be Can Be Beautiful. “Can Be Beautiful is about that fragile feeling of love in bloom. Like you know something is happening and you’re hesitant to fall, but you have to acknowledge that letting go of the fear of the unknown and allowing yourself to open up to someone special can be a beautiful thing,” Nicole tells me. Nicole’s songwriting and lovely voice shines through in this track, it’s a perfect mix of acoustic, electronic chill, and pop. I am intrigued to hear more of these kind of songs by the two.

“We wrote this song in January called ’Sweet N’ Sour’ that kinda just fell into our laps. We performed it for the first time on tour in Nashville that same month and ever since we posted a live clip of it on Instagram, people have been asking when we’re planning on dropping it.”

-Nicole & Scotty

The siblings are planning to release more music throughout the course of 2019, and probably even a 2 part EP which they’ve been working ever since they released #Queen in October 2018. They also are planning to pursue “touring around the world, releasing records that people can relate or dance to, and just making a positive impact through the messages we want to share.Rather it be writing Americana and acoustic songs, or it be pop music (which their last release fell under) they tell me the kind of music that will be released will depend on “what genre gets us super pumped up to write“.

I would sincerely like to thank both Nicole and Scotty for the continued communication they’ve had with me recently. If you like to follow them, you can do that by following or liking them on Facebook and Instagram. Also, stay tuned to our Facebook (@uneditedmb) and Instagram (@unedited_music_blog) pages to be updated with their future progress as well! Have a great Memorial Day and week!!!

Afterglow (2017) has reached closed to 40k streams, while her most recent track called Love on the Line (2017) has reached almost 48k streams with the help of a local channel in Los Angeles (Trap x Rave Series). Candice’s fan base is still growing, in fact, interest in her music is growing on all her platforms so there is no doubt that she is an upcoming musician… Although, she’s kind of hinted that the best has yet to come…?
Candice tells me that she “started out singing and writing songs when I was a kid. Later on, I started attending music festivals and was really inspired by dance music.” At some point, Candice began putting a beat behind her words. Sciarra is influenced by “everyday life”, such as situations she’s been through that are relatable to others. “I also love writing from different perspectives and putting myself in someone else’s shoes”, she tells me. Her fanbase mainly based throughout the world, and (like I’ve already said) is still growing!
Sciarra claims her “fanbase (as) the most loyal and amazing people to talk to. I love talking to them and finding out their stories”. Fans of Billie Eilish, Bishop Briggs, Broods, CHVRCHES, and basically any dark electronic female musician would also be drawn by Sciarra.
Sciarra comments that her 2017 single “Afterglow is about how we get so caught up with everyday life (work, school, whatever it may be) and sometimes just need to take the time to live in the present and see how far we have come.” Despite the lack of quality in which Candice even admits to not be her best, the beat and especially the bass drop is nothing short from impeccable. In fact, these parts of the single make the track better. Sometime around late October 2017, Love On The Line came out via Trap x Rave Series. This track proved to be a huge success, as well as an improvement from her debut single. Candice continues to release tracks with a great beat to it but what differs to Afterglow is the voice didn’t sound so off. All in all, Candice’s project is turning into quite a creative and wonderful success… But yet she hasn’t released any new music for over a year now…
A reason that may be behind why she hasn’t released any music yet is probably the tracks are just taking “forever to release” just like Afterglow took. Either way, her future releases are definitely on her agenda for the new year as well as possibly going on tour.
Sciarra tells me that he is planning to release new music this fall (2019), “it has taken me a while to release new music as I decided to change the style of music I was creating and go away from pop”. She told me that she is deciding to go in a darker sound with her music while also representing where she is as an artist now.
I would like to thank Candice Sciarra for the continued communication. Over 12k+ fans and I are (im)patiently waiting for the next release! Please feel free to listen to Sciarra on Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, and Reverbnation (URL unavailable). You can follow/like her on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Candice is one of the nicest people I have met with an amazingly great taste for music (especially EDM music)! I hope she continues to see her music grow in success, and I am so happy to introduce her to my readers and followers so please go and listen to her tracks!!!!
