Raleyell

Raleyell is a female vocalist who was born in Israel and performs electronic music with a dark pop feel. When she debuted “Let Them Stare” for the first time in 2021, it was met with a positive reception from a diverse group of fans. Raleyell captivates audiences with her ethereal yet emotionally strong voice, as well as her dark tone and melodies, through her productions.

Lullaby, Raleyell’s newest single, was made available for streaming on February 17th. After the outbreak of the Ukrainian-Russian war, which caused the destruction of lives and plans, the song was created. The author can’t see any glimmer of hope that it will be over soon, so she goes to sleep with the expectation of waking up to a world at peace. This desire for peace is reflected in the lyrics of the song, which speak to how even in times of darkness and despair, people must hold onto hope that one day everything will be restored

This music evokes feelings of melancholy and hopelessness, which is appropriate given the message that the song is trying to convey. Despite this, I think the instrumentals in the background are a bit loud. Please click the “like” button and leave a comment below with what you think of the song if you want to share your thoughts.

I would compare Raleyell’s sound to artists in the same style as Phantogram and other producers of dark electronic pop music. If you enjoy what you hear, then please click the “like” button and check out the links that are provided below.

Amya-Ray

Amya-Ray is a folktronica musician that is based in Brighton, United Kingdom. She creates a one-of-a-kind sound by combining elements of electronic music and folk music, and it has attracted people all around the world. She was raised in a household that practiced both Islam and Christianity, and she was exposed to a diverse range of musical styles throughout her childhood, including classic rock, gospel, garage, DnB, Bollywood, and Arabic music. The engaging music of Amya-Ray is a reflection of her multi-cultural background, drawing influences from a wide variety of artists including Submotion Orchestra, Warpaint, and London Grammar.

Never Meant to Be, Amya-Ray’s newest release, was made available for streaming on the 20th. This single is a beautifully warm and heartfelt release, and it perfectly embodies the lovely and enticing acoustic-led aesthetics for which she is recognized as a performer.

Amya-Ray’s vocals are smooth and soulful, and they convey a broad range of emotions that come straight from the heart. She has a great voice, and the first two phrases are both heartbreaking and heartwarming. Amy-Ray’s songwriting abilities really shine through in her music, which tells a very fantastic story, and she has a lot of talent in this area. Your feedback is very important to me, so if you like this song, please click the “like” button and share your opinions in the comments section below.

I would put Amya-Ray in the same category as female acoustic musicians such as Chelsea Cutler, Rosie, and others of their kind. If you enjoy what you hear, then please click the “like” button and check out the links that are provided below.

Mike Rogers

As DJ artists in the early 2000s, Roger (TWR72) and Mike Mago first connected with one another at two of the most well-known underground electro events in the Netherlands, called Rauw and Dum Dum. Once some time had passed, they both started developing their own unique sounds, which eventually led to them playing in a variety of musical styles. They continued to communicate with one another, and after some time, both of them were interested in trying to perform the music that they had grown up listening to. As the years went on, the two of them collaborated to develop and perfect the sound that would become Mike Rogers.

“Get High” is the name of Mike Rogers’ most recent single, which was released on January 6. The band members all acknowledge that the speaker is known as “Mister Tambourine Man” and that he is a drug dealer. He is currently working on persuading someone to put their faith in him and take the drugs so that they may witness firsthand how everything will turn out. That will be an experience that is well worth having. Get High provides a picture of the possibilities offered by drugs, but it also gives the listener room to form their own inferences.

This is a sound that only a select few musicians are able to conjure up in the music industry, and as a result, I truly appreciate the way this song’s surround sound makes me feel. When I hear it, it never fails to draw my attention because of the hypnotic atmosphere it creates. This is due to a number of things, including high notes that are very clear and low notes that have a depth of sound that is hard to believe. I would really appreciate it if you could comment and let me know what you think about the song by clicking the “like” button and providing your feedback below.

Mike Roger creates a sound that is tough to categorize, but if you appreciate listening to high-quality music, they are unquestionably an artist you should become familiar with. If you enjoy what you hear, don’t forget to click the “like” button and check out the links down below!

Jake Huffman

Raised in Connecticut, where he was born and raised,  Jake Huffman was the lead vocalist and drummer for the viral alternative rock band McLovins, which created an ecstatic universe of indie pop rock. Huffman is back with a ton of brand new music after taking some time off to reacquaint himself with his identity as a solo artist.

Martyr is the name of Jake Huffman’s latest single, which was released on January 6th. The track offers some fascinating discourse while investigating a commentary on passing away on a hill. A little more than a month later, the song climbed its way up the Spotify rankings to reach number 37, and it has continued to do so ever since.

His songs are marked by a peculiar, one-of-a-kind quality that makes it simple to identify, even given that it is pleasant and pop-like. In addition to that, it possesses an excellent rock sound, and the lyrics go together quite nicely. I am quite interested in knowing what you think about the track, so if you have a moment, kindly hit the “like” button and leave your opinions on the single in the comments below.

In my opinion, Jake belongs in the same class of music as bands like Walk the Moon and Bleachers, as well as other alternative pop artists. If you enjoy what you hear, please click the “like” button and follow the links that are provided below.

Eva Westphal

NYC-based singer and composer Eva Westphal fuses elements of pop, indie pop, and modern pop in her music. Her shift towards pop music has led to concerts in illustrious venues such as PIANOS, Mercury Lounge, and The Bowery Electric, despite the fact that she received her training in classical music. Taylor Swift during the “Folklore” era, Stevie Nicks, and Brandi Carlile are some of the artists who have influenced her.

Her most recent single, titled “Understood,” was made available for streaming on February 16th. The lyrics of the song discuss the experience of being a lesbian and feeling alienated in certain settings. She wanted to compose a song about her life before and after she met other LGBTQ+ people who shared her experiences because she grew up in a community where there were very few people who identified as queer or who were LGBTQ+.

I like Eva’s soft voice; it reminds me of dodie. The song does a great job of broaching the sensitive topic of the challenging times that come with finding your people. I would appreciate it if you could comment below and let me know what you think by clicking the “like” button and providing your feedback.

Fans of Dodie and other musicians should check out Eva Westphal. If you appreciate what you are hearing, we would appreciate it if you would follow the links that are provided below and give them a like.

Clare Easdown

Alternative pop and euphoric art-pop love songs created by Clare Easdown and Simon Pipe, who is based in Australia and Barbados. Clare is the one responsible for providing the vocals, while Simon Pipe is the one who plays the keys, guitar, drums, and also mixes and masters the music.

Their debut single, titled “Burned Into My Past,” was made available for streaming on February 1st. The single is a moving piece of poetry that alludes to the pain of losing someone you care about. When you know deep down that they aren’t good for you, you write their names in stone, etch them into your memory, and then shut the door. This song addresses topics such as love, heartbreak, and, most importantly, letting go.

The first thing that jumps out at me about this new release is the captivating and aesthetically pleasing music video that comes packaged with the song. I had a great time watching the music video, and I hope the two of them decide to make more. The actual music is soothing, and it fits in perfectly with the visuals. I think it would be beneficial for the group to broaden their musical palette and produce more music that is both upbeat and dark at the same time. I am very interested in knowing what you think, so if you would please like this post and comment below with your thoughts, I would greatly appreciate it.

Fans of ODESZA and Purity Ring, in addition to other musicians, should listen to this song. If you enjoy what you hear, then please click the “like” button and check out the links that are provided below.

Natalie Shay

Located in North London, Natalie Shay is a musician who has received a great deal of critical acclaim as well as a number of different awards for her electrifying live performances and her vibrant, contagious anthems. She writes lyrics that are easily relatable, touching on topics such as love, self-discovery, and the day-to-day experiences of someone in their twenties.

Her most recent single, titled “The Edge,” was made available for streaming on February 1st. This song is about the painful end of Shay’s friendship with her best friend, which resulted in the friendship completely falling apart. She claims that the song is one of her favorites, and she hopes that by releasing it, she will also find some sense of resolution.

The production of this song is fantastic, and it has a great hook. Natalie possesses a remarkable talent for writing pop music that is catchy. I also really like the music video, and I think it would be fun to talk to Natalie about this new release… Your feedback is very important to me, so if you enjoyed this song and have some thoughts to share, please leave a comment and a like below.

In addition to other artists working in the music industry, I would compare Natalie’s sound to that of the musician listed below. If you enjoy what you hear, don’t forget to click the like button and check out the links down below!

Dottie Andersson

Songwriter Dottie Andersson hails from the region of Smaland in Sweden. Dottie was born into a musical family and studied drums throughout her childhood. She and her three younger sisters were members of the band Ason, which performed at a variety of festivals and opened for artists such as Milow and Matt Simons. She has developed her own style, and artists like Bon Iver and Phoebe Bridgers serving as inspiration.

Dottie Andersson’s newest single, titled “Heavy Objects,” was made available for streaming on February 3rd. The lyrics of the song are about overcoming the thoughts, feelings, and circumstances that hold you back. It gives off an air of wistful melancholy, charming cheekiness, and just a touch of obstinacy, all of which are held together by her razor-sharp attitude.

A person with a lot of energy would appreciate the smooth music that Dottie can make. I really wish that her music and videos showcased a little more energy though. The new release is really fantastic, and I would be very interested to know what you think of it. We would appreciate it if you could like this post and leave a comment below with your feedback.

Dottie is comparable to artists in the same genres as Sylvan Esso, Smalltalks, and other indie rock and pop musicians in my opinion. If you enjoy what you hear, then please click the “like” button and check out the links that are provided below.

Dom Malin

Dom Malin

Birmingham-based Dom Malin is a singer-songwriter who creates music that combines elements of indie folk with folk rock pop that is soothing and simple to listen to. Malin has proven to have undeniable talent ever since he wrote his first song, and many people in the music industry are aware of his abilities. He has received support from a variety of sources, in addition to being featured as the artist of the week on BBC Introducing Lincolnshire. Malin’s ability to craft music that is both intriguing and alluring comes from his ability to draw inspiration from the world around him.

Dom Malin’s most recent song, titled “All I Know,” was made available for streaming on January 27. The lyrics “down by the river, she calls to a saint” were the impetus for the writing of this song. As a result of a conversation he had with a buddy, he imagined that someone close to him would pass away due to issues with their mental health. Because of this, he was able to investigate the movements, thoughts, and restlessness that become characteristic of a person experiencing profound sorrow.

This track was fun to listen to, however, it was missing a few key elements. For example, I think it would be nice to hear additional instruments in addition to the great vocal arrangement and acoustic guitar that are already present. I’d love it if the song featured an instrument like a trumpet or a violin. Please leave a comment and a like below telling me what you thought of this single release and what your opinions are, as I would love to hear what you have to say about it!

I would recommend this album to anyone who likes Ben Howard or other independent folk musicians. If you enjoyed the track, kindly follow the artist and click the “like” button below.

Dash Hammerstein

Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Dash Hammerstein is known for his unique blend of art rock and bedroom pop in his music. The music of Roxy Music, The Kinks, Ween, Brian Eno, and a great number of other artists have had significant influences on Dash. He contributed to the score of a number of documentaries that were released in recent years, one of which was Beautiful Baby, which had its debut at Sundance.

Dash presented his most recent single, titled “Silent, Memories,” on February 10th of this year. This is the first single to be released from his upcoming album, which will be an expansive and naturalistic collection of songs that were written in collaboration with a wide variety of artists. The songs themselves are a peculiar combination of a wide range of musical styles. The song is influenced musically by Brian Eno in addition to the Beach Boys.

In addition to being very revitalizing, this tune reminds me of a cross between Shakey Graves and the Beach Boys. I really like this track since it has a fresh take on an old classic sound, and I really hope that there will be more songs in the future that sound like this one. I would appreciate it if you could click the “like” button and leave a comment below telling me what you think about this song. Thank you.

Fans of Shakey Graves and other alternative folk musicians from the independent scene might be interested in this. If you enjoy what you hear, please comment “like” and follow at the bottom of this page.

Molly Warburton

Molly Warburton, an indie pop singer-songwriter from Lancashire, has a level of determination and personality that is unmatched in the business. Her tough exterior is at odds with her soft, fragile heart, making for an interesting mix that shines brightly across her growing range of skills. The young musician began participating in a number of tournaments when he was just ten years old and then went on to study music.

Her most recent single, titled “Gravity,” was released not too long ago. Her personal experiences as well as her passion for music served as sources of motivation for the new track. She had lately been going through a period in which she felt incredibly uninspired to perform or write new music, and she was on the verge of falling out of love with it when she penned the song. But, once she became aware of what she had accomplished and grown into as a result of her involvement in music, she discovered new sources of energy, new sounds, and a renewed passion for her work.

I like the way that this music was produced, and I also like the voices that were used. At the transition from the verses to the chorus, I think the song would benefit from having its lyrics spoken at a little faster tempo. This would make the chorus more memorable. I would appreciate it if you could click the “like” button and leave a comment below regarding your thoughts on this song.

If you appreciate Sylvan Esso and other artists who play indie pop, then you’ll probably enjoy this song as well. If you appreciate what you hear, kindly follow this channel and give it a “like” in the section below.

LEA THE LEOX

LEA THE LEOX is an artist from Los Angeles who is hard to put in a box. She is proud of the authenticity of her songwriting and her ability to reimagine traditional melodies to make songs that cross genre lines. In the Los Angeles and Chicago metropolitan areas, people are talking about her live shows. During her early releases, she was in a lot of magazines, including Creator’s Club, Fashionably Early, Modern Nation, and a lot of others.

Her most recent collaboration with ObieIII, titled “When You’re Lonely,” was released as a single on January 25. This track, which describes a story of betrayal, reflection, and overcoming, sets the tone for her debut extended play, which is titled “Purpose.” LEA was written to mourn a love that was unrequited, and it does an excellent job of conveying the anguish that one feels when they are taken advantage of.

I think the music is good, but I’d want to hear more feeling put into it. It’s cool that she’s incorporating a lot of different styles into her music, but I think there has to be a stronger emphasis on feeling as well. The music video has some beautiful colors and graphics, but I wish there was more of a narrative to go along with it. I have a lot of different feelings about this release as a whole, but I can’t wait to hear more from LEA. It would mean the world to me to know what you think, so if you enjoyed it and have something to say about it, please leave a comment below.

I would recommend this single to anybody who is a fan of Iman as well as other alternative and independent musicians. If you enjoy what you hear, please comment “like” and follow at the bottom of this page.

Standing O by Glass Mansions Review

I’m currently listening to Standing O on Deezer Premium through my Google Pixel Series A buds, they have spatial audio and a rather complimentary bass that goes well with the slap in your face sound that this song brings.

I notice that people are probably looking at me at the gym because my earphones are probably too loud… Well, if it’s too loud then you’re too old as they say. I truly believe that statement is true for energetic musicians like Glass Mansions.

I really like how Deezer seems to alter the energetic experience with a higher volume to the song. I appreciate the flawless production and would definitely be interested in hearing more in the future. And if they ever come to Boston, i would definitely pay to see them play a live set.

I will certainly be adding Standing O to all my workout playlists and upbeat playlists that i have on Deezer. I would love to hear what you think about this song, so please leave a comment below.

Glass Mansions Collection

I’m currently still on the treadmill at the gym, but I’m now listening to their latest EP, Ritual. The spatial audio and bass is still amazing, but doesn’t really hit as hard as Standing O. That’s probably my favorite song by them.

The EP is a really solid production and it really solidifies range in their sound, and i even hear a little DnB in their beats. Some tracks that stand out the most in their last EP are Landmines, If You Need Me, Don’t, and Tunnels Vision.

Glass Mansion’s first EP, Gossip, reminds me of Paramore. It’s a little punk, a little pop, and a little electronic. It’s a great mix of ingredients that taste good. For future releases i would love to hear more guitar like they did in this EP. Some tracks that stand out the most in this EP are Give + Take, Crushed, and basically all the rest of the songs.

All in all i love to hear the progression of this soon to be notorious duo that will surely leave a big mark on the music industry. So what do you think about Glass Mansions, please leave a comment below with your thoughts!

Thank You, Glass Mansions

I would personally like to thank Blake and Jayna for requesting a review, they are a purely great duo who certainly should be one to watch for in the music industry. I wish them luck in their upcoming shows, and am looking forward to following them in their journey.

Sano Hill

Galway-based Sano Hill is a singer-songwriter who incorporates elements of indie rock pop, and soft rock into his music. Songs written by Sano are influenced by life, love, and loss and have been performed for audiences in the United States and Ireland on compilation albums that have received critical acclaim. The albums “Origin: See the Light,” “New Horizons,” and “Inundations” are some of the artist’s earlier releases. “Inundations” featured the music of notable international acts such as Damien Rice and Josh Ritter as some of its featured musicians.

Dancer, Sano’s newest single, will be available on all streaming platforms on February 10th, when it is released. This will be the sixth single to be released from his upcoming album, “If Not Now, When?” shows a musician’s journey through the ups and downs of a relationship, from the first glimmer of hope through periods of doubt and denial, disappointment, and finally recovery after the relationship has ended. In the song “Dancer,” the dance and the first sparks of love, and the struggle of making art is explored.

I take pleasure in listening to this artist’s ballad. Exciting and dramatic elements may be heard at the beginning as well as the conclusion of the song. I enjoy how clear and distinct the guitar sounds, and I think the bridge looks quite cool. On the other hand, I believe that there is room for improvement in terms of the vocal volume. The vocals and the acoustic guitar need to be more evenly distributed throughout the track. There is opportunity for growth here.

Although I would put Sano Hill in the same category as other musicians who play indie rock and pop, he is also a part of his very own distinct genre. I am extremely interested in hearing your thoughts on the song; therefore, I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment below with your responses. If you appreciate the content that you are listening to, please show your appreciation by clicking on the links provided below and giving them a like.

Sadie Nix

Sadie Nix is a singer-songwriter who plays the guitar and is originally from Brighton. Her most recent song was selected for broadcast on BBC Introducing. Her work has been influenced by a wide variety of musicians, including Dolly Parton, The Cure, Prince, Taylor Swift, and Brandi Carlile, to name just a few. Sadie’s goal is to compose music that tells a story that listeners can identify with.

The third of February saw the release of Sadie’s most recent song, titled “Oblivious.” The third song to be taken from her forthcoming debut album is now available online. Because a morning breakup is so much more lonely than a typical breakup because it never was or could be, this song perfectly captures the feeling of having your heart broken.

Sadie’s voice has a lot of emotion, and it sounds beautiful in this song. Although I applaud the flawless production, I feel as though the song may benefit from the addition of a few more elements. My prediction is that future releases will include more electronic components. Despite the fact that I am unable to identify a single flaw in this song, I believe that she could improve future releases by including additional material.

When I listen to Sadie’s music, I think of Norah Jones and other female singers who work on their own. Please share your thoughts on this song by leaving a comment below. Thank you. I am quite interested in hearing your opinion on this matter. If you enjoy what you hear, show your support by clicking the buttons below and giving them a like.

Sven Ross

Sven Ross

Netherlands-based Sven Ross is a singer-songwriter who incorporates aspects of folk music, folk rock, and pop music into his work. He wrote songs when he was young and often found himself dozing off in school after writing songs late at night when his parents and sister had gone to bed. After two years of school, he arrived at the realization that the only reason he was doing it was to satisfy the expectations of others, and he made the decision to alter jobs as a result. After that, he uprooted his life and moved to London in order to enroll in a songwriting course in that city.

Sven’s most recent single, titled “A World We Believe In,” was released on February 3rd of this year. This is the third and final song to be released in conjunction with his impending second EP, which is titled “Now That I’m With You.” This song serves as a rallying cry against the practice of internalized capitalism. The goal is to create a secure environment for one another without cutting ourselves off from the rest of society.

The journey that Sven has been on is fascinating, and he comes across as an easygoing yet deeply committed individual. This song’s vocals are incredible, and I can’t wait to hear more from this artist in the years to come. I would also like to learn more about the things that are important to him and that he dedicates himself to in each song.

Sven’s music reminds me a lot of that of Simon Alexander and other independent musicians. Please leave a comment below with your views and opinions regarding this single, as I am very interested in hearing what you think of it. If you enjoy what you hear, please comment “like” and follow at the bottom of this page.

The Mars McClanes

The Mars McClanes
Photo credits: Russ Chapman & Brian Corley

Portland-based The Mars McClanes are an indie rock band that mixes acoustic and alternative rock. Growing up as a band in Dallas, the band says the Old 97s primarily influenced them. When first starting, they got booked at country bars and had to figure out how to shift from an alternative pop band to something they could play at honky tonk bars. Today, they do whatever they like with their sound. They have written a batch of songs, and whatever genre emerges the best, they go with it.

On January 13th, The Mars McClanes came out with their newest single, “Be Still.” The ballad showcases the band’s passionate lyrics and dreamy soundscapes, and the electronic and acoustic elements showcase their ability to blend genres to create a unique sonic experience. The track is a haunting and introspective look at the struggles of finding peace within a fast-paced world.

This song has a relaxed alternative acoustic rock vibe, and zen feels to it too. I like the experimental feel of the sound, and it is an excellent track overall. I urge them to push themselves into writing more lyrics because they could add more lines and make the way a more story-like song. I say this because the music is overall really short.

I would compare Be Still to any bedroom pop and soft rock musicians. I would love to hear your thoughts on the track, so please comment below. If you like the song, please leave a like and follow down to support their music.

Nilka

Florida native Nilka is a bedroom pop artist who transcends the soul-pop genre with her fluid vocals and bedroom production. She fell in love with creating songs as a young girl fusing thoughts to a string of notes with lyrics originating back to the early age of nine. Five years later, she taught herself how to play the guitar, cementing her melody-lyric combinations and her pensive songs like her journal entries.

Fast-forward to 2023, and she has now been releasing music since 2017. She has had multiple TV placements during this time, including HULU’s “Light as a Feather” and “Love Island Australia” series. She has also released songs on NoCopyrightSounds and Magic Records.

On January 12th, Nilka released her song “Luna.” The fifth song from her upcoming album, “Sacred.” Nilka was inspired to write the bilingual song after struggling with impatience. She longed for control over her life and grew frustrated with the lack thereof.

I enjoy this track’s progression and production and listen to it daily. Bilingual music is a growing trend, and I hope it continues in today’s music industry because it shows the actual creative talent we have in the world.

If you enjoy, She is Jules and other talented musicians, and you will also enjoy Nilka! I would love to hear what you like about Nilka, so please comment below. If you want her music, please like and follow the links below.

Antonia Vai

Swedish-based Antonia Vai is a singer-songwriter, music producer, and activist. Fascinated with the intersection of story and reality, earth and unearthliness, her songs carry poetic mysticism that goes from highly personal to universally political. Antonia has been playing instruments and writing songs since early childhood. The poems of Leonard Cohen, the Swedish folk songs of Cornelis Vreeswijk, the yearning melodies of Lhasa de Sela, and the soulful voice of Lauryn Hill raised her.

Antonia and her band have been kept busy playing at countless European festivals, including the Eurosonic Noorderslag in the Netherlands, Elbjazz Festival in Denmark, and many more. She has also toured in Asia, playing gigs at Zandari Festa in Korea and Japan.

On January 27th, Antonia Vai came out with her newest single, “Where the Bluebirds Fly.” The single is a beguiling, electronic pop song with a melancholy, pulsating beat and a chorus hook that sticks. Antonia’s music is about surrendering and dancing on the thin line between clarity and illusion, pleasure and self-annihilation. She wanted a video that lets viewers wander off into their imagination.

Antonia’s voice is very old-fashioned; it reminds me of Ella Fitzgerald. I like how there are multiple scenes in the music video, and it makes you imagine each scene. I enjoy this song. It’s different, and the video is fun and diverse.

I can’t put my finger on a particular musician Antonia’s similar to, but I would love to hear your opinion. Please leave a comment with who this musician reminds you of. If you enjoy the song, please leave a like and follow below to support Antonia’s music!

Nightly Gatherings

Returning to Features, Nightly Gatherings is Connor Johnson’s project. He has been making music for seven years but has been making music under the name for two years. He takes inspiration from Porter Robinson, ODESZA, and many more.

Nightly Gatherings has opened for artists for Whethan, Gorgon City, Slow Magic, Forester, and many others. He has recently played EYEHEARTNYE in San Francisco in support of Alesso.

On January 27th, Nightly Gatherings recently came out with their newest single, “Still Friends.” The single is the last before his sophomore album, “Don’t Worry,” will come out on March 27th. The single has generated attention from Madeon, Ryan Nevis, and many more.

DAMN, THIS IS GOOD, CONNOR! I love this song, Connor is a funny guy, and I like where this project is going. The song is catchy and sometimes a little too catchy. In other words, it could use more catchy lines. I’m excited to review his next album coming out in March!

If you enjoy musicians like San Holo, Porter Robinson, and other trip-hop musicians, you will vibe with this song too. I would also love to hear what you think of the single, so please leave a comment below. If you like what you hear, please leave a like and follow below!

Tarra

Mumbai-born and Berklee-based student Tarra is a commercial pop and indie pop singer-songwriter recognized by many, including Rolling Stone India as an exciting upcoming musician. She writes thoughtful, relatable lyrics over catchy, classic, pure pop melodies.

On January 13th, Tarra released her newest single, “Time of Our Lives,” on all streaming platforms. The song is best described as adrenaline-filled easy, listening pop that chronicles a weekend beach getaway with a love interest. It was produced by Taylor Franklyn and crossed between Taylor Swift, Lauv, and Jones Blue as a perfect mood booster.

The song has a relaxed indie rock vibe that brings a uniquely uplifting vibe and reminds me of being with friends on a beach. I would compare this to uplifting and upcoming musicians like Kelsey Blackstone and maybe even Salem Ilese. If you like this song, comment below to let me and Tarra know your thoughts!

I recommend this song to fans of Kelsey Blackstone and other peppy indie rockers in the music industry. Please leave a like and follow below if you enjoy the song! Also, subscribe to our email list and follow us on socials!

Shadowbanned

Shadowbanned

Shadowbanned is a Manchester (UK) based band that mixes indie pop with alternative pop. They combine layers of string quartets, samples, pedal steel, human voices, and more into a collage for the earbuds. They sing emotional stories like love lost and found, wonders abound, and memories hanging around. Joni Mitchell, The Weeknd, Massive Attack, and others inspire them.

On January 11th, Shadowbanned released their newest release, Who Knows Where the Time Goes? featuring Abby Strickland. The song is a contemporary re-interpretation of the Sandy Denny/Fairport Convention classic with gorgeous vocals by Abby Strickland.

I like the song. It’s got an excellent chill beat; the only complaint is that the bass is a little too loud. I also enjoyed the video, but it felt like something other than a music video. Instead, it felt more like a slideshow. Overall, it’s a very old-fashioned production, which many can appreciate. I wish there were a little more to it. Glossy Boy

London-based Glossy Boy band is made up of Chris Pidsley (vocals and guitar), Ryan Bunce (background vocals, bass, and keys), and Zak Thomas Johnson (drums and background vocals). They’re inspired by The Kooks, Blossoms, and Catfish and the Bottlemen, who they claim as all solid British Indie Pop icons.

On January 13th, Glossy Boy released their newest track, The Girl Who Feels No Pain, on all streaming platforms. Coming off the back of their pop-rock-infused debut, the track is a soft contrast soaked in acoustic guitars and luscious bass lines. A simple track about a ballad of love and hurt also has the power to be a singable anthem for a middle-of-the-set respite.

With a massive Arctic Monkey mixed with a Jeremy Zucker vibe, I would listen to this song daily. The lyrics go well with the vocals that truly bring out the sadness in this song, and I also enjoy listening to Glossy Boy’s whole music collection. If you like this song, please leave a comment below.

This song would be fitting for fans of Weezer and Arctic Monkeys. Please leave a like and follow below if you enjoyed this song. If you want to stay updated with new music, please subscribe and follow all our links and socials.

London-based Jewelia is a singer-songwriter who mixes relaxing contemporary pop with folk-pop. She has a unique and evoking sound with a flavor of pop centered around her recognizable vocals, lyrical charisma, and memorable melodies. She is a self-produced musician who’s garnered over 1.2 million views on her YouTube channel and a consistent 20k monthly listeners over the last couple of years.

On January 20th, Jewelia released her newest track, “Life Is A Highway.” The song is a distinctive acoustic sound evoked by Bjork and Kate Bush that shares an inspiring message at the beginning of the new year, taking time to enjoy the view and look ahead at what’s to come.

I like the acoustics in this song; it’s fitting for fans of Vampire Weekend and other musicians of the like. I really enjoyed this song and have no honest criticism, and I look forward to hearing more. Jewelia continues to create such good music, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the music; please comment below!

This song is excellent for Rosie, Chelsea Cutler, and Vampire Weekend fans, to name a few. If you like music, please leave a like and follow below. We will undoubtedly follow Jewelia’s music journey, so make sure you subscribe to our email list and follow us on socials.

Ali George

Bath (UK) indie folk musician Ali George is a singer-songwriter influenced by acts like Bon Iver and John Martyn. George began playing guitar at the age of six and was in his first band at the age of ten. By sixteen, he started his solo act and performed in pubs, cafes, and venues around Bath and the South-West while developing his songwriting skills and recording demo albums.

On January 6th, Ali released his newest single, Dreams within Dreams. The new track explores themes of unrequited love, loneliness, and feminism. It is a clear musical departure from his signature earthy, unadulterated acoustic sound and a venture into a more ambient and atmospheric place. The song was written from the perspective of a lonely woman who feels that her husband has neglected her over the years.

Returning to the Features, Ali George comes out with another chill Jack Johnson song. His voice can be compared to Jack Johnson and The Tallest Man on Earth. These kinds of musicians are highly underappreciated. If you enjoy listening to Ali, I suggest you listen to them. Let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment below.

Tracks 1-3

Dylan has a similar voice to Creed’s Myles Kennedy, a profound and exquisite presence that needs to be recognized in his music. The drums and all the instruments in these tracks are beautiful and captivating. These first three songs are well-produced and fascinating in every way, and I love how the vocals and instruments are well-balanced.

“I Get Lost” is an excellent first track, and it captivates my ears and imagination with what the EP will be like. I connect with “Digging;” it’s a sad but uplifting song that drives home the feeling of entering a new relationship, almost like digging out of a depression and realizing the importance of love. The vocals in Behold Our Smiles have a heavy Irish accent presence, and who doesn’t love a good Irish accent?

My favorite tracks of the first three in the EP will have to be “Digging” and “Behold Our Smiles.”

Tracks 4-5

Dylan’s accent and cultural influence shine in these two tracks, although I would like to hear more confidence in his voice. The production continues to be a pinnacle point in this EP; it’s just so well done and needs to be recognized to the highest degree.

“Walking in a Photograph” has some regret; I don’t know what kind of regret the song is directed towards, but it is present in the music. My friend, Joe Carroll from Ireland, would love the deep and unique lyrics in “Old Argyle Sweater,” it’s got that old Irish music feel to it in the beginning, and towards the end, it lets you down slowly.

My favorite of the two songs in the last of this EP would have to be “Walking in a Photograph”; the production and acoustics are untouchable.

Overall EP

As I said throughout this review, the production of this EP is an epic pinnacle piece of what makes this EP so good. I also love the vocals, and that’s not just my Irish nationality speaking. Especially in the beginning of the EP, the lyrics are solid and deep, which any rock lover would love. With that said, I want to see a slower vocal build into a crushing and confident chorus or verse.

My favorite tracks in the EP would have to be “Digging,” “Walking in a Photograph,” and “Behold Our Smiles.” However, the song that sticks out the most to me is “Digging.”

Thank You, Dylan Goff

Christmas Present (2022 Edition) | Cuffing Season | Emmrose

Cuffing Season

Editorial

The holiday season is hard for everyone; fewer people (like me) are single. I have been living with my parents for three years, single for five years, and just recently been active on Hinge for about two years.

The loneliness and longing for someone haunt me every day someone mentions how their loved ones are doing. I work in the mental health field, and I have had at least two person’s served hospitalized for mental health reasons this season alone. Although that does not necessarily relate to the holiday season, it doesn’t help that only a handful have a family supporting them.

This is what Emmrose’s Cuffing Season is about, loneliness and longing for someone. That feeling of not being loved by someone who will be your best friend is hard, so that’s why the universe created music. But also knowing that you’re not alone and there are millions of single people during the holidays is comforting to know as well.

If you are lonely this Christmas, please take care of yourself by doing what you can. That includes; reading this article with headphones on by the fireplace while listening to Emmrose’s music. Allow it to be considered part of your self-care routine. If you like hot chocolate, then make it extra chocolatey.

Holiday with no one to hold,
Or do I just miss the idea of love
In this cuffing season.

Sabreen Islam

Auckland-based Sabreen Islam is a singer-songwriter who weaves her signature style with inspirations from Hozier, Conan Gray, and dodie. Her single “Glow” was selected as a semi-finalist in the international Songwriting Competition 2020, and she has performed at Auckland’s famous “Others Way Festival.” In July 2022, she also published a critically acclaimed poetry collection called “Spring Clean.”

On January 13th, Sabreen will come out with a super sweet and catchy new single, “Still Love You,” on all streaming platforms. Like her other singles, this fresh track is about pining for a childhood crush who’s moved on. The song was recorded at Parachute Studios with Sophie Bialostocki and then mixed/mastered by Poynton Studio’s Ariki Perana.

This is a very quirky song, and I like its beat. It’s like a more upbeat dodie song. I love the songs Sabreen’s putting out, but I want more profound songs, and I want them to show the more vulnerable side of her. In other words, super catchy and quirky pop singles are lovely once in a while, but people nowadays also want their musicians to show their vulnerability. Some of the most famous songs nowadays are also some of the most vulnerable ones.

If you enjoy listening to musicians like dodie, you would definitely like Sabreen Islam. Please stay tuned to this artist, and expect us to cover her more in the future. If you like what you hear, please leave a like and follow below!

Lucy Burke

Sydney-based Lucy Burke is a singer-songwriter that converges contemporary pop with commercial pop. Some of her biggest influences include Billie Eilish, Regina Spektor, Norah Jones, The Beatles, and others. She will be having a single launch at the premier music venue, The Vanguard, in Sydney on January 29th. She also shot a video clip for Cliche in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, which is set to be released in mid-January.

Lucy Burke released her newest single, Cliche, on all streaming platforms today. Like all her other singles, the single captures the raw and personal reflection on life and love honestly and refreshingly. The acoustic, ambient piano track is about unrequited love and the frustrations of waiting to be noticed by someone unattainable.

This is an exciting song that I am also tempted to call a ballad, but it feels like something more than a ballad simultaneously. I like the progression in the track; the production is crisp but could improve. It’s missing something.

If I were Lucy, then I’d expand on these lyrics more. In other words, I would provide more detail about this person. This would improve Lucy’s songwriting in the future because it will provide listeners with an even more relatable song and message.

If you enjoy listening to musicians such as Dani Kristina and Mallrat, you would definitely like listening to Lucy Burke. Please also leave a like and follow below if you like what you hear!

Taydem Shoesmith

Taydem Shoesmith is an Indiana-based electronic pop singer-songwriter who mixes dance pop with commercial and commercial vocal dance. She is a new artist who fell in love with music from a young age, and her father always sang to her every night, which sparked her interest in producing music. She found comfort in writing during her first year of high school and was afraid to share, but as time went on realized that others felt the same way she did.

On New Year’s Eve, she released her newest single, “Are You Clapping?” The single made this song out of the frustration she surrounded herself with and society. Taydem says, “We have to act like the perfect person when we talk to people or go on dates. We’re kind of setting ourselves up for failure because we’re acting like someone we think they want to be with.”

Through this song, she says she wants her listeners to have more confidence in their choices, whether in a relationship or a job.

This song is unique; I love it because people need to hear it more. Many fake people fall into relationships built to fall into pieces because the people in the relationship are not honest with themselves. I love the confidence and production that this song brings.

But what I like the most is the message. People shouldn’t look for love; they should first love themselves, and then love will follow when they find true love.

I recommend this song to fans of Sylvan Esso, Kelsey Blackstone, and other confident electro-pop singers in the music industry. Please leave a like and follow below if you enjoy what you hear, and look out for more coverage in the future.
